Erratic Oaks is the estate vineyard behind Citation Wines, planted in 2007 in the Mt. Pisgah area of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. It takes its name from the erratic boulders the Missoula Floods carried into the valley on rafts of ice, and from the oaks on the site.
The vineyard is planted to Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling across three distinct Willamette Valley soil types. A farm-to-bottle approach and minimal cellar intervention let the fruit and the site lead. A distinctive, genuinely single-vineyard option for Cherry Hill’s restaurant and retail clients.
